You may be surprised to know how far money can stretch in Nepal...

 

  • £1 buys approximately 5 hot meals of lentil soup, vegetable curry
    and rice at The Children’s Food Programme
  • £3 is about the cost of school fees for a month
  • £4 is roughly the cost of a school uniform
  • 50p buys a stationery set including pen, pencil and notebook
  • Just over £3 will buy a child a blanket
